EXTRA A$$ BISH

EXTRA A$$ BISH

Hey Beauties! (need a vacation from vacation… how does that always happen?) There are just some fits that not only take center stage when you wear them but also remind you of what a BOSS A**B**CH you are (pardon my French) now I’m not here to guess what your take on that type of fit would be.. Whether it’s a bomb ass dress and stilettos or a pair of joggers and trainers, I salute you sis. I put this fit together on a whim and it literally had me gagged. The beauty of styling fits is having pieces you creatively decide go together, whether they are already in your fashion arsenal or you buy them all on the same day, the thought of deciding what to wear is actual air to my lungs. (yassss QUEEN!)  My fits almost always have some sort of dramatic way then enter my life or maybe I’m just an EXTRA a$$ bish and exaggerate everything hahaha!

I want to make something very clear, I have spoken of this before but I stay reminding my queens that we don’t need to break the bank to come correct, regardless of what you may see or think.  You can always splurge a little on a staple piece and save your pennies on the rest and that’s a motto I continue to live by.

“Men’s Dept. Shmen’s Dept.”

It’s no secret that after discovering my favorite shoes to date my Comme des Garcons X Nike Shox collab (get the tea here KICKS&BITS) I have dabbled into the brand a little more and am completely obsessed. I gravitate towards it SO hard due to the simple fact that it’s not SATURATING the fashion world and is so sleek and creative with the branding and logo. Sticking to my rule and shopping more for “staple pieces”, I decided it was time to purchase a tee of some sort. In scrolling thru a few websites I frequent for designer pieces I decided to stick in the men’s department since I roll on the more “streetwear” side of the “graphic tee” spectrum. If you prefer more fitted pieces or subtle branding, their women’s tees are BOMB too! (I got you beauties with my faves from both worlds).

Bag It

Everything in me was trying to stay away from a black tee but listen, I stay true to who I am and I love black. It is what it is and I’m ok with my closet looking like a dark hole. *evil laugh* I wanted a bang for my buck and went for something heavily branded. We keep it 100 around here so if I’m spending heavier coin on something, I don’t want subtlety. I decided on this black “Play” graphic tee from End. Clothing and honestly didn’t think twice about it, I was set on it from the minute I laid eyes on it. “It be like that sometimes”

I usually always envision my fits and get my wheels turning as to what would be paired together but honestly I wasn’t sure which way to move since I wasn’t familiar with the fit of the tee so I put it on the backburner in the mean time.

NO, Not The Beanie!

I’ve really been doing my best to give my signature beanie a break and play around with different head gear. I grab things that catch my eye when I’m out and about and keep them in reserves for the right moment. I legit never know when that will be but I always make my way through the “stash’ one way or another.

I happened to be in Forever 21 and saw this almost beret like black leather hat and was shook! The leather is what truly sold me, and I knew the fit of this piece was meant to sit more on the crown of my head which allowed for a cool pair of shades or hair clips. Side note: I don’t know about you beauties but if I’m wearing a dad hat or a beanie I feel some type of way about rocking a pair of shades too, I feel undercover or in disguise.. We all know that ONE character in the movie with a coat, wig, shades, and a baseball hat spying on someone or hoping NOT to be noticed but are super obvious? Ya… HI.. me with headgear and shades *raises hand* Something a little more pushed onto the back of the head allows more hair to frame the face and then the odds for shades are sky high. (There ARE rules to this…. you get me right?) My wheels were in motion and I began to think this perfect little beret would be so dope paired with my new designer addition and some dark frames.

Not the END.

I received my package in record time and was ready to tear in to it. It’s amazing what a difference receiving a package from a designer retailer is compared to the places I frequent. I honestly could care less but I’m here to just give you the full experience. It was sitting there all cute in its bougee END. box and enveloped packing slip that I couldn’t wait any longer. COME TO MAMA! It was everything I wanted and more. Holding it up out of the box, I could tell it had that quality weight to it and the printing was top notch. I will say that right off the bat, I could tell this wasn’t the oversized tee I was used to with the drop sleeves and wide torso. In all fairness, there is a disclaimer stating that this tee does run ONE SIZE SMALLER. I went for a “LARGE” hoping to achieve that typical vibe but this tee was fitted around the collar and the arms were more of a slim fit. If you are wanting a shirt dress/baggy tee this aint it sis.

I was pleased nonetheless and was ready to slip in to this new found treasure. Perfect in every sense of the word. The quality, feel, and fit were spot on. It felt luxurious and worth every penny.

Rock It Gurl!

Tee | Cycle Shorts | Hat | Necklace

A Whole Queen

The fit was like a “slim fit boyfriend tee” and was just so dope with its signature design and logo. Messy bun and all, I pulled my hair down and wrecklessly threw my leather beret hat on. “QUEEN… A WHOLE QUEEN”.. I couldn’t stop, everything I needed was in hands reach and I pulled a pair of black framed cat eye glasses from my drawer and BOOM… MOOD ON LOCK.. We were in business. There was no question that I was pairing my CDG X Nike Shox with this fit but we were missing bottoms…. What’s a queen to do? LEATHER DUH! I kept the all black vibe going and decided to tie in the leather beret with a pair of leather cycle shorts I copped at Forever 21 on a whim. You could easily pair this tee with jeans, high waisted shorts, a leather skirt, or even trousers. The possibilities are endless when the accessories speak for themselves.

I personally have the excuse of living in 90 degree weather as to why I reach for shorts more than others. I conveniently had some drinks to enjoy in a few hours and decided to just kick this fit straight into gear. Once your weave is combed (shade) and the face is beat, it’s a wonder how much better everything looks. (no shade) This fit was everything and more and I can see myself reaching for this piece A LOT.

I Got You!

Don’t ever feel pressured to purchase designer but if a queen wants to treat herself, this is just an option to keep in mind or if you have that birthday or anniversary coming around drop that hint beauty. *wink* So what’s the tea? Do you like the idea of designer pieces? Do you prefer staple pieces if you are splurging? How do you like to treat yourself? Fill your girl in!
