Hey Beauties! (am really trying to stop myself from buying a new pair of shoes every week… it’s not going very well *meh*) I have no favorites in my shoe collection and I love all my babies the same but these OG Twist Jordan 1’s hit a little different for me. It’s all in the colorway and texture of the shoe with its “synthetic pony like material” it truly sets the shoe apart from anything I own.
I decided to bite the bullet on these with the higher price tag knowing I’d have to get them on StockX or GOAT since they were released last year. The $500+ price tag was a bit shocking but I knew these were a pair of sneakers that I had to add to my collection.
It Doesn’t Hurt To Try
The first thing I always do when I’m purchasing after market sneakers is I refer to sites likes StockX and GOAT to see where the price is sitting. Once I determine which is going to fit my budget best, I go in for the kill... StockX is usually where I like to stick to if the prices are comparable since they have the option to “bid” on items. Once you make an account you are able to send offers and it’s at the seller’s discretion to accept the bid or not. I tried my luck and sent a few offers.
After a little back and forth between figures, my seller accepted my offer and they were ALL mine.
Let The Magic Begin
There’s more to life than waiting for a pair of shoes to be delivered.. said literally no one ever. I couldn’t rip into the box fast enough and I usually try and inspect every angle of the package and shoe itself because even though StockX inspects and verifies the authenticity of the shoes before they are shipped… Your gurl needs to do a little inspecting of her own.
Now being the proud owner of Jordan 1’s already I knew what to expect when I put them on but something about this colorway was straight fire. These are not only comfortable but the structure of the shoe hits perfectly above the ankle and looks super dope on the feet. It was time to werk and style these babies up.

The best thing about my newest addition is they are indeed a “casual” athletic trainer but the aesthetic and general makeup of the shoe can be worn even in a dressier fashion depending on the styling and confidence you bring with them.
