Hey Beauties! (am TOO addicted to TikTok… like crazy addicted!) So the 80’s called and they want their trend back… I only have one thing to say about that and it’s… OVER MY DEAD BODY! Now, I know what you’re thinking… um, hello… shades and fedoras aren’t solely for the 80’s, they’ve made their way into every decade… I KNOW THAT and I’m here for it BUT… the edgy shades I go for and accessories give me that 80’s punk rock feel and I am LIVING! I imagine myself as an extra in the courtyard of “Pretty in Pink” you know when Blane goes out to where Annie hangs out to ask her on a date? Ya, I’d be a part of that crew.

When you have a focal point of a fit like a hat or shades.. or… BOTH I always prefer to let them take the shine and create a vibe. I stumbled across these shades in a vintage shop and immediately got late 80’s vibes. I immediately knew I’d spruce them up in a retro fashion and my brain went straight for layered chains and a fedora because HELLO.. 80’s fashion was built on over accessorizing *shrug*

Instead of reaching for a leather jacket and combat boots in true “punk” fashion, I wanted more of the high top sneaker/shirt dress moment. I added my simple high fashion twist on this fit by adding my Comme des Garcons Converse but a traditional high top converse or high top Vans would have been just as dope. I suggest going for more of a contrasting pop when picking a shoe... I GENERALLY prefer to go for a high top when I’m styling an oversized button up… for some reason it gives me that more “boyfriend” style vibe and makes me feel more “preppy” (you get me right?) If you dig more of an oversized tee as opposed to a button up, do you queen… all my styling options will pair just as beautifully and keep you looking fresh to death.
