Hey Beauties! (currently wishing I wore leggings under my pants.. ISSA cold) Alright so I live to serve all your fashion needs and by that I mean.. I’m here to keep you looking FRESH2DEATH but still comfortable. I gathered together my top 5 boot choices for these cold a** days we have ahead of us. I tend to stick more towards a statement boot that can get you further than 2 blocks without immediately regretting you threw them on in the first place.
Dr. Marten “Leyton Game On”
I’ll start with my hands down fave.. The Dr. Marten “Leyton Game On” leather boot. I personally own this boot and can tell you that SIS…. I bought these in 2015ish and wore them to DEATH! I actually pulled them out a few weekends ago and they are still in excellent shape! Fun Fact: I am a lover of Electronic Dance Music so these boots saw me through multiple Miami Music Week’s, over 100 shows, and even the dance capital of the world… Ibiza! When I say these are a staple in my collection..I MEAN IT! Dr. Martens hold the reputation of needing to be “broken in” but that was unnecessary with these bad boys. You can dress these up with black panty hose, scrunched socks, and an overszied t-shirt dress or more casual with torn up jeans and a crop top.
Timberland “Waterproof Boot“
This recommendation is for my STREETWEAR queens who want more of a masculine staple to compliment a dope fit. These are not only fashionable but come in clutch during inclement weather since they are weather proof and durable… A queen wont be slipping and sliding in these. The reason I gravitate towards this boot in particular is for the mere fact that it’s slept on. I personally don’t see anyone rocking these classics and I don’t know why! I love the “matte” finish and prefer the all black colorway but believe me when I say… there are SEVERAL styles and colorways to choose from. I’m sure you’ll find something to add to your collection. You can rock these with a jogger set or even a pair of jeans and a puff coat.
Steve Madden “Brant Black”
The “combat boot” is here to STAY and I’m here for it! This is a tiny step up from the Dr. Marten boot and I’ve seen several takes on the style with buckles and distressing but I prefer a more sleek appearance. This style can really take your fit up several notches and not only dress up a simple style but add that “fashion forward” touch to a more detailed look. Steve Madden is known for it’s reasonable price point and comfort, so a style like this will take you far. These would be dope with leather leggings and an oversized sweater or even with trousers and a striped button up blouse.
The Sock Boot
The “Sock Boot” or better known as “The Savior” for girls like me that refuse to wear stiletto’s for more than an hour. This style is a more “dressed up” option when you want to rock something a bit sexier but want to save your feet from the agony of a skinny heel. A stacked heel is how I move but even something a little slimmer provides the support and edge you’re looking for. No shade to my “high heel” lovers but as long as the occasion calls for it, you’ll catch me in a sock boot. The best part is they can be worn with ANYTHING.. dresses, jeans, skirts, the list goes on and on.
Nasty Gal “Chelsea” Boot
Last but certainly not least is the “Chelsea” style boot, this slip-on option is for the queen that wants a more chic medium between the combat boot and the sock boot. Something for running errands or a lunch date. This option of course has studded details because HELLO.. WE EXTRA! This classic style is easy to wear and versatile for any fashion preference. Whether you’re rocking a flannel and leggings or a turtleneck and cargo pants, this style is sure to take it’s place as a hybrid and come correct.
Ultimate MODISH splurge goes to…
Is there really anything more to say? If MODISH CHAMPAGNE were a boot, this is who she would be. BAD A$$, SPIKED, BLACK LEATHER, PERFECT HEIGHT, and a RED BOTTOM? What more is there to life?
