Whether it be a simple appliqué or a full on slogan, I’m here for it and give it to me in the largest size you have! *shrug* When picking my graphic tees I like to go for clever, unique pieces, something nostalgic and meaningful! I want to be proud to rock this tee and get that signature head nod from someone that “feels me” on the same level.
Your Boyfriend’s Tee? Na sis…
I find myself going to websites and immediately hitting that search option with the following: “oversized t-shirt” ENTER… the search doesn’t just end in the women’s department fam… We go hit the men’s department as well and go through EVERY SINGLE damn page to be sure we didn’t miss anything! You know I got you with not only my fave tees but sites I personally frequent to feed my tee needs!
I love the fact that not only designers but buyers are targeting a men’s fit for us ladies! I love to rock a “boyfriend tee” and while they come in bomb a** prints and phrases, sometimes a girl wants something a little more “feminine” and it used to be “good luck” from there hahaha.. I’m genuinely pleased to be able to fill all my “baggy tee” needs now that this trend is gender-less (is that a word? hahaha). On that note, as far as “fit” goes, this is all personal preference…
You SAVAGE
I PERSONALLY FEEL I AM A TALL INDIVIDUAL so I always go for something that will cover the goodies *clears throat* I usually find that a Large in men’s is my happy size and I’m between a Large and XLarge in women’s.. obvi if you’re ordering online, trying things on isn’t an option but I always make a tee work and so can you! If it ends up being too oversized, you can wear it as a dress with your fave over the knee boots and if it’s not as oversized as you were hoping for tie it up in to a knot or tuck it under your bra for a cropped look with your fave high waisted leather pants.
I hopped on “The Drop” since I’m obsessed with the brand “Skim Milk” Their tees are super creative and unique! After scrolling through for what seemed like 30 seconds, I was ALREADY stopped in my tracks by this “Fast Fashion Kills” tee and a Queen just HAD to snatch it up! It was so savage yet dope! Now obvi (before anyone comes for me…) I have no problem with “fast fashion” (and if you don’t know what fast fashion is…it’s….na… never mind…Google it!) It had to be mine… no questions asked! .
“Bienvenidos a Miami”
The website is very helpful when it comes to describing the fit of their tees. One downside would be that there aren’t any pictures of the shirt on an actual human (< dramatic effect) BUT the dimensions are there to guide you. I’ve found that a fabric tape measure comes in handy more than you think and feel we ALL should own one. Find your favorite baggy tea and get to measuring sis. Order placed, now let’s wait. Let me be the first to admit that my instincts take me immediately to cycle shorts when I’m styling up an oversized tee and I do my best to venture off but I just love the look of a little leg when styling up something oversized. It adds a “sexier” element to the look and gives me the option to not shorten myself up too much if I was to throw on a high top. I also live somewhere that has maybe 5 days of winter (dramatic) and being in shorts almost year round is the norm. I was lucky enough to be leaving one non-existent winter state and heading to another… Your gurl was off to Miami and knew the only thing cold would be my Mojitos… okkkkkkk!!!!
You already know, cycle shorts and an oversized tee of some sort would find its way into my luggage. My package from “The Drop” made it just in time and honestly, I knew what to expect since I own several pieces from the brand but loved the print and placement of the slogan. The website described it as follows: “Size in product image is a Medium. Box cut is 90’s fit, so if you don’t want a boxier cut, size down.” they were spot on.
SOBE FLEXN’
The quality of this tee hit all the points I look for when judging a piece. It had a decent weight to it, it wasn’t see-through, and the font was opaque and bright. Again, I personally own pieces from this line so I knew what to expect. I was stoked to rock this on South Beach and thrilled it came in time for my trip. When you’re strolling the streets of Miami and still want to come correct (in case you make a pit stop anywhere) this is the way to do it. Dope oversized tee, cyle shorts, and a pair of sneaks! You know I got you with an alternate fit for backup. *wink*

The shoes are a whole other story that we’ll definitely be getting into soon *covers eyes in shame* HOWEVER since I gave my coveted Comme des Garcons X Nike Shox a break, I was FINALLY able to wear the signature chain as a necklace to accessorize my new tee. Adding some finishing touches as in my signature beanie and your gurl was out!
Sneaks in the club.. and what?
We keep it 100 around here so when I say that I went to ONE OF Miami’s hottest nightclubs in this fit, its facts! I swapped my shoes out since umm… white… cocktails… crowded club… my stress levels rise just talking about it. My chain was back on my shox and back on my feet where they belong and I added a wrap chain drop choker (it’s actually a belt I wear as a necklace.. true story! Get the scoop here) for some drama. You could easily swap the sneaks for some over the knee boots and rock this tee as a dress or add your favorite leather pants/skirt and keep steppin..
Don’t Just Look…Splurge!
I love the way an over the knee boot looks with everything so I’d stay in that lane if I went the skirt/pant route regardless *wink*
