Hey Beauties! (really getting that VEGAS itch!) I was so stoked to style my first official look of 2020 and I came to work if I do say so myself! *ahem* I adore anything mesh and can go for a simple opaque look or a full on see through moment, your girl aint picky *wink*. I always remember “Cher” (Alicia Silverstone) rocking her see through blouse and cropped vest on top in Clueless (you know when she fails her driving test? ya, that one) and loving the more oversized shirt with something on top to accentuate the figure but not your typical belt at the waistline... Does this make any sense? It’s so clear in my brain haha… Well, your gurl’s fashion taste isn’t Cher like (ugh, as if!) but I knew if I could find the right pieces, I could make a bomb a** fit the MODISH CHAMPAGNE way.
Check Mate
I was scanning ASOS during my holiday shopping (we all shop for ourselves at the same time as others right?) and I always make it a point to check my favorite brands for new arrivals, Collusion being one of them. If I frequent a website, I always “sort” my results by “newest” to peep new arrivals first and make my way from there. I scrolled down a ways and saw the DOPEST check/plaid (what do you call it? I say check but some people say plaid..? you get my drift tho) oversized button up shirt in the coolest color pattern and realized it had that same “baby doll” chiffon feel as Cher’s. My brain officially went there as soon as I saw it so blame it on my fashionista wiring *shrug* I had to have it! It wasn’t until I swiped through the rest of the angles that I noticed it had white font going across the back! Listen up… are you listening? I DIE FOR LARGE FONT ON THE BACK OF ANYTHING! I literally have a few pieces this way and find them hard to come by so when I find something like this… Queen… throw it in the bag! I was beyond excited and immediately added it to my cart *snaps*
But Make It Fashion
The signals bouncing around in my brain on how I was going to style this new gem (that I was already obsessed with) was NEXT LEVEL... I couldn’t think FAST enough… I caught a glimpse of myself wearing this top with vinyl pants, and my new Comme Des Garcons X Jordan 1 collab… (we’ll get there sis don’t worry… “I can’t even” with them) they feature this dope strap with hanging silver rings and it gave me “punk rock” vibes. I played on that and went with what mini MODISH that resides in my head was showing me. I remembered how dope something fitted looked on top of something flowy and decided to put my own twist on it… lets keep it 100… your gurl wont rock a silver sparkly vest, BUT she will rock a leather body harness AYYYYY! I was truly inspired by my kicks and when I saw the harness, I knew I was on to something. Harness plus the kicks, mixed with the checks and a sprinkle of vinyl… ummmm yes queen! and this my darlings is how my brain works.. WELCOME! hope you can stay awhile *wink* Add to cart… Add to cart… Submit Payment… you know the drill!
Taking Names in 2020
I didn’t waste anytime with this order, your gurl got expedited shipping and within 2 days… SPECIAL DELIVERY… I literally cut my errands in half to get home to my package. I know I always say the same thing… “I couldn’t open the parcel bag fast enough” but uhhhh… I couldn’t! This was going to set the tempo of my year… like it was more than just any old order.. or so that’s what I told myself…can we take a moment to speak on my dramatics (I’m too much) trust me queens there is more to life than clothes or waiting for packages but let’s keep it real, it makes life WAY more fun and it’s nice to treat yourself. O.K. back to your scheduled programming… Pulling out the pieces, I was stoked! I could tell that the top was of great quality, the first thing on my mind was checking how sheer it actually was and honestly, due to the print, it wasn’t sheer at all (in my opinion). I was able to wear this with just a black bra and had no issues. Of course if you prefer wearing a bandeau or a tank of some sort, be my guest!
I held the top up and could tell it was exactly the size I wanted it to be... I knew I could style it the way I planned but also saw myself wearing cycle shorts and thigh high boots for a night out or maybe even cycle shorts, chunky socks, and combat boots for a chill daytime look! The lightweight feel of the top is perfect year round! It was all in all a great find and I was excited to have it. I couldn’t wait to pull all the wrapping off of the harness and slip into this lewk. Pulling off all the protective stickers from the harness I could tell that by the weight and fell of the “leather” material… it was EXCEPTIONAL quality. I was low key nervous since the price point of it was fairly inexpensive but in true ASOS fashion, it was superb!
2020… We Came To Work!
Vinyl holds a special place in my heart and I own only a few leggings/pants that have met my standards. It’s all trial and error but thank goodness I did the work for you and found a pair of leggings that are ufff perfect. On another one of my “just in case” shopping moments, I was on Missguided when they were having some sort of “SALE” and copped me a pair of vinyl leggings. I own more “pants” with a button and zipper but at times they can add more bulk to my mid section and I wanted something more appropriate for oversized things that would cover all the goodies and just keep clean lines. I already knew I LOVED these so I reached for them and went to work. YAAASSSSS QUUUEEENNN! Gurl we did not come to pay in this fit, I was in love! The top was EVERYTHING and literally had me smiling from ear to ear! It was quite oversized but with the harness, I was able to pull and tug at things with out any bunching due to the fabric being so soft and thin. The harness tho… the harness tho… the harnnn ok, we get it! This was the true show stopper, adding this to the fit with my kicks, took this fit to a whole new level!

Sis… I couldn’t wait to wear this fit and wore it on the perfect night of drinks and a trip downtown! I was so comfortable and got quite a few compliments… *blushing* It’s pieces like these that you can mix and match in so many ways and are worth adding to your collection. At these price points, it would be crazy not to grab them and keep them on reserves.. I promise you’ll find use for them!
