JUST HERE TO KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF…

JUST HERE TO KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF…

Hey Beauties! (sips freshly squeezed O.J.) It’s really no secret that I’m a sneakers type of gal and sadly shy away from heels. Let’s not get it twisted though… Your gurl will throw on some sky-high heels and rock it with the rest of my queens but I just prefer a sick pair of kicks. Craziest thing is, I own several pairs of heels and still shop for them knowing I won’t wear them often. Heels are seriously not only an addiction but, in my eyes, a work of art! I love staring at them in my closet and secretly get a little girlie bounce in my mood when I know my outfit will call for a pair of heels.

The Perfect Pair

Like anyone else, I have my pair of go-to heels that will get me through an entire evening of fun, my dinner with minimal walking required heels, and then there’s the heels that I will not be moving from my seat once I sit down and the only walking I’ll be doing is to and from my car. We all know the saying that “the ones that hurt the most, look the best.” I found these heels at Zara and have come to find that if you stick to what you know you can tolerate; their heels never fail me when it comes to comfort.

This Sucks.. But Whatevs’

My only peeve with Zara is once something is gone from the store or website, it’s gone forever (WAAAHHH). I got you covered tho with a DOPE alternative from Public Desire. I gravitated towards these in particular because of the clear toe strap and heel height. It was an easy 3.5-inch heel and showcased a shiny leather ankle strap. I adored the minimal “barely there” vibe and decided to give them a try. I found myself reaching for them way more than anticipated. I rocked these with distressed mom jeans, bodysuit, and a leather jacket, a pair of leather shorts and a band tee, or even in this case a romper. I had my eye on the fishnet sock heel trend for a while and never found a pair that hit all my requirements, so I styled a pair of fishnet socks with these heels and it was perfect. Being that the heel is so sleek and has a minimal style, adding a sock didn’t add any additional bulk and really added to the look. Here are a few MODISH approved options from Nordstrom and Amazon.

This MODISH detail adds so much edge and truly dresses up any fit; Not to mention, it’s appropriate to use in the fall or lets keep it 100.. if you aren’t a fan of your toes or didn’t have time for a fresh pedi this is a perfect trend for you.

I have a mental checklist I stick to when I’m looking for heels and height is always #1. No matter how much I love a shoe, I know my limits and accept them. I will not be the girl walking around barefoot or having to carry around flats. (Unless I’m in VEGAS because I have a bag prefilled at all times with flops) *wink*.

Sock Game Strong

When it comes to the socks, I honestly have purchased every pair I own from Forever 21, they carry a variety of patterns and colors at extremely affordable prices. I find that I PERSONALLY prefer a sock with a toe cap since I usually wear an open toed heel and don’t want my toes poking through the netting. I’ve found myself reaching for them to wear with my sneakers as well and I just feel like a total bad a** adding this trick to my shoe game.

Cheers,
